Default 04 Ram stereo question

I wanted to install a motorized touchscreen single din in my 04 Ram Laramie with 4 speaker system. Crutchfield does not show any fitting. Can this be done, and if so what models have you guys installed? Thanks for the help.

Pretty much any single din dvd player will fit. All u need is a dash kit and the wiring harness

I haven't tried, so don't consider me an authority, but the factory HU sits pretty high up in the dash on these RAMS, would the fold-out display have clearance to open and not hit the portion of the dash that protrudes outwards?

Welcome to the site krbailey3

As Brandangd69 said, any single DIN flip out head unit will work although let me through out there that I can make you a bezel for a double DIN which is a much more nicer way of going about it as you can get more options like Navi and more.

Bent, most head units have a button to let you adjust the tilt of the screen so it will not hit.

This was a Pioneer single DIN 7" slip out I had for a while before I got a Pioneer Double DIN AVIC Z1

Here is a link to some double DIN bezels in case you want to see some

Just putting this out there, they also make single din radios that have double din detachable screens. They cover the headunit then go down a din, kinda like a flip down screen minus the motorized screen.

The one I found is a Power Acoustics (not the best I know) but it gives you the basic picture. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tik-_-82682162
