Default "05 Hemi 4x4 - vibration during acceleration

Bought this truck 4 weeks ago with 71K miles on the clock. I replaced the EGR valve after receiving codes for it and also replaced the plugs with OEM copper core champions.

The truck vibrates quite a bit under acceleration. What systems or components should I begin to consider looking at to fix this? I have new Michelins that are balanced, front end aligned with new pads and rotors.

The truck accelerates nicely after replacing the plugs but the vibration is really noticeable. Should I look at engine mounts or U joints? Is there a harmonic balancer of some type on these vehicles? What about a timing belt. I know I need to read up more on this awesome vehicle but this is part of the research / lurning curve.

Please weigh in with advice and or experience.

Much appreciated,

Gunzer

I chocked the tires. While in neutral I tried to wiggle the drive shaft looking for signs of play. I couldn't find any tell tale signs of a worn U joint. When I tried to spin the shaft with my hands it moved maybe a 1/6" along its axis. I tried to push up an pull down on the shaft an saw no movement at the U Joints. Is there any other way to test the U Joints without taking them apart?

Is there any noise comming from the rear during acceleration? I have a 05 dodge ram w/ 4wd and while accelerating there was a squeaking sounding like it was comming towards the rear, along with a slight vibration. Switched out the U-Joints and vibration is gone along with the noise. See if there is any noticeable wear and tear on the u-joints...Rust etc

No noise from the rear during acceleration just a vibration under acceleration. There's plenty of rust on the existing U Joints, they're probably the factory originals. I'd be happier going into changing these parts out if I was able to be sure there were some signs of wear.
