Default Steering Rack Blew Up

Left my house yesterday, got on the interstate and realized I forgot something so I turned around. I started to hear whining while steering so I just figured I was getting low on fluid. Then it got worse until I had no power steering at all.

About 1 block from my house, I heard a pretty loud pop like a firecracker. Sure enough, a power steering fluid trail in the center of the road from the spot it blew up all the way into my driveway. Power steering fluid shot over the engine compartment, etc. I haven't looked closely to see exactly where it blew out, but the drivers side is where the fluid was dripping out of it.

Did a search and it looks like a reman'd rack from the parts store is a bad idea? Advance Auto has a Fenco for $212 after promo codes and including the core. Mopar one from dodgetruckparts.net is $519.79 shipped and the stealer wants $619 for one. Local junkyard has one for $150 from a truck with 60,000, 30 day warranty.

I really don't want to spend $500+ before alignment AND the time to do it myself. Anyone ever use a Fenco unit? Any ideas appreciated

Looks like I'm gonna go that route. Autozone has one with LLT for $200 after core. The one from Advance is only 1 year I think.

That would be nice...I even have a spare PS pump. It must have busted a seal on the driver's side. The boot was completely blown apart
