slip/hesitation in first gear...
Looking for thoughts on an issue I swear I am not imagining. When trans temps get up to normal temps, which seem to be 130-150 for my truck, and after about 20 minutes of driving I am getting a slip or hesitation only in first from a stop. I put foot on pedal and I hear rpm's start to rise, and then truck jumps a little. No other issues, only does it after warming up. Fluid is fresh, and level is good. Had a trans friend of mine drive it and he said it's in my head, but I know he didn't drive it enough to warm it up.
Could this be a TPS issue, or dirty throttle body?
And no codes being thrown.

Did you do a pan drop and filter change recently? you said the fluid was "fresh" If so you might need to check your flat filter o-ring seal. There have been numerous threads on people that just flushed/pan dropped their trans, and then have issues with poor shifting, hard shifting, and stalling.
the issue is that if you didn't properly seat that o-ring and make sure the flat filter "neck" makes a good seal the trans sucks in air vs fluid and you have poor performance.
other than that, clean your throttle body (it cab cause hesitation if it is overly dirty) and general tune up items like air filter, check a couple plugs to see what they look like etc. I haven't seen many thread where the TPS has caused any issues, but if you search there should be a tps "calibration" thread outlining the process. it is pretty simple and should only take a minute or two.

as long as you use ATF+4 trans fluid you should be fine. All trans fluids that carry the ATF+4 badge must meet the minimum requirements and specifications that were developed by Chrysler. These requirements are quite strict which *******ly ensures any ATF +4 fluid will perform correctly.

If the fluid caused your trans issues, you used the wrong fluid.

Hey guys, been a couple months and still having the hesitation issue. Just a quick recap:
- dropped pan & installed deep mag-hytec, everything good from there.
- able to create rpm jump in first gear with foot on brake at 900-1000 rpm.
- still only hesitates after warmed up either from a stop, or sitting still with foot on brake creating rpm jump.
- no codes or lights
APPS?
any other thoughts before my only option is a dealer?
