Default Ranch Hand: Summit Series Front Bumper

Hello everyone, I will be purchasing a Dodge Ram soon and want to know if I can mount/install a Summit Series Front Bumper to a 03-05 Dodge Ram 1500, or will it have to be a 2500/3500

Source
http://www.bumpercompany.ca/front.html

Also, will this bumber/ram bar be able to take a pretty decent hit, I travel to my cottage up north on winding roads at night, I will have a few lights setup when I decide on what truck to get, but I wanna know if I hit a pretty big deer, what will be the outcome with the bumper/ram bar.

If anyone else has a suggestion on what bumper/ram bar I should get that is good looking, well built sturdy, and cheap il be more than happy to get a look. But back to my main question, will the bumper I chosen (or one from a fellow member) be able to be mounted on a 1500?

Thankyou.

Ranch Hand has a good reputation for "taking a hit", but it appears from their online catalog that the Summit series is only available for '06 & '07 Ram 1500s, although it should fit an '08 which is identical to an '07. '02-'05 1500s have a different front end.

They list a model available for '03-'07 2500/3500s, and again, should fit an '08 as it's unchanged...

Thankyou for the information, but I probally wont be able to get a 2500/3500 at the moment, is there anything that can take a hit but can mount on a 03-05 1500?

List any sites you know of to if you can.

Thankyou.

Found this, but what is the review of this company, are they good enough for what I am looking for? also do that ship to Canada?

I know Ranch Hands have the reputation, but the Tough Country looks pretty stout. I have always done brush guards, so I'm not too up on the replacement bumpers. Most brush guards aren't gonna cut it if you hit a deer, although I have the Warn which is all stainless steel, still won't compete with a replacement bumper though. I think the thing that would save me most with a deer hit would be the winch mount (but it'd have to be a direct front mount hit), as it's about 50 lbs. of solid steel.

I dunno why you couldn't get a 2500. 2500 Hemi gassers run about the same money as 1500 Hemi trucks here, given same year and mileage, maybe 10-15% higher cost, topps. It's the Cummins diesels that command top dollar...

I read that 2500/3500 are for pulling loads, and I am on a budget, but I can ask my dealer to look around for one.

Looks like I may have to get a 2500 Ram, I will need to be able to pull my brother and his friends out of akward locations and since im not a idiot driver like my brother, I will be the one he calls. Any tips on how or where to get a 02-05 2500 for around the same price of a 1500?
