I have a friend who has the same 20 inch 5spoke alloys on his 07 qc, but he has a chrome plastic skin/cover that fits snugly over the factory alloy, anybody know where to find these? cannot seemto find anything above 17 inch. Thanks

 

I could be wrong, but i don't believe those can be bought seperately, have to have them put on at the factory.... I tried to find some a while back when i was thinking about painting my wheels, but no luck...

 

No, the factory chrome wheels are true chrome wheels, these are slip over plastic chrome cover that fit tightly over the standard alloy, looks great, and easy to clean and or replace.Thanks

 

I disagree sir, I don't believe the factory chrome is true chrome. I have an 07 QC Big Horn Edition which is supposed to have chrome, but my rims simply have that cheap-*** plastic 'chrome'cover on them. You're right...they look good and are easy to maintain, but honestly I feel cheap riding around on them!!! Just me maybe.

Yeah those wheels are called Chrome Clad. We have them on our ram too. Didn't realize till we got it home and washed it for the first thime that it was a chrome plastic cover, pretty lame. We liked the rims on our 05 ram much better. We are getting some centerlines today, yeah!!

I have been looking for the chrome wheel skins as well for my 2007 Dodge Ram Big Horn Edition with 20" wheels on it. I seen a truck like mine at a car lot here in town and I pulled on the rims and they are covers. Does any one know where these can be bought? I'm not having much luck.

 

They are not sold separately. They are permanently installed on the wheel when it is made. You can't replace the covers; you replace the wheel.

They are called chrome clad wheels and it is how the OEM's do it these days. They were a $400 option on my truck.
