Is it possible to remove trailer hitch and still reinstall bumper. It looks like the trailer hitch is where the brackets install for bumper. Is the hitch a real bitch to remove. Just sick of seeing that thing rusting all the time and me having to spray paint it black all the time.

 

You need to lift your entire bed to remove your trailer hitch for the 04+,sucks, not sure about the 2002?

 

Find someone with an ST that wants a reciever and trade, the 2 of ya working together will make the swap easier too..

 

You do have to lift the bed for an 02 to take off the reciever.
