Can I go to a junk yard and buy some electric tow mirrors off of a 2500 or 3500 and just bolt them right on to my 1500?

I assume they are the same door ? Or do I have to buy special tow mirrors for my 1500?

correct. Let's not forget only 2002-2008 mirrors are interchangeable. '09+ are NOT just incase OP was thinking of newer style?

I've been thinking of doing the same thing, please come back and update this post and price and info if you end up buying them aftermarket or if you get lucky at a junk yard

I'm pretty dumb, so a play, by play would be great too.

 

You can get a set off Ebay i think my buddy said for 200 out the door
