Hey Ive never used this site but I figured Id come to yall and see what I could find out from yall. Long story short about my grandpas 02 dodge ram 1500 5.9l automatic crewcab. The link arm that goes from the manual 4x4 shifter inside the cabin isnt linked to anything anymore (fell off somehow lol). The arm that goes from the shifter to the tranny area decided to fall off. Need to know where I can order one for him besides the dealership. Its kinda like a link arm...I normally work on bmw e30s so not to knowledgful with what to call the damn thing. thanks for any input.

You can call some scrapyards.

It is the transfer case shift linkage that your looking for.
It gets held on by grommets basically from what I have read.

 

There's a little rubber grommet that holds the linkage on to the shift lever. They dry rot over time. I found a place to order them on line for a few bucks. I'll look for the info. where I got them from.

The entire "shift linkage" assembly is gone no grommets no shift linkage to install any new grommets into (its entirely gone) Judging from the way the setup look like it would seem to be kind of like a sway bar kind of but the entire "shift linkage" is missing. And thanks for the welcome if anybody needs any info/knowledge on some e30s let me know lol
