Default Door Alignment

Bought my 05 Daytona QC about 3 months ago, noticed the passenger side doors don't align well. Not sure if this is a factory defect or if the previous owner bent the front passenger side door top edge down tighter against the body to stop/prevent the infamous water seal leak problem. Looks like the entire front passenger door is out of alignment, bottom edge is away from the body more than the rear passenger door, but the top edge is in tighter to the body than the top edge of the rear door. Tried to bend the top edge of the rear door in toward the body but boogered it up a bit which PMO, then tried to push the bottom edge of the front door in to align with the rear door - worked a little but over time it seems to be back out. Couldn't get the top edge of the front door to bend back out no matter what I tried. Any suggestions? Or just leave it alone?

My doors are the same way. 2008 w/9800miles. No leaks, but it does kinda bother me. Ohh, my hood is misaligned too.
Keep bending it and it'll get flimsy because you have to actually bend it past the point you want since the metal has spring effect. Gotta bend with glass down too btw. The problem is with the mounts. They need to be shimmed rather than you bending the door frame from the sounds of it.
Dodge does have revised door trim to eliminate any leaks. Get the door kit and maybe shim the top mount out. This way, your not bending anything.

Hey guys. My wife backed into my truck the other day. Both front and back driver doors were open and she backed into them. Now the front driver door does not sound right when closing. The other doors sounds as if when they close they close onto a seal. The driver door sounds as if it is hitting metal on metal. Is this something that I could fix myself or possibly done at body shop. Do NOT want insurance involved.

I will update with what I get from two body shops I like and hopefully some pics to see if I can "see" the door out of alignment.

I would think your best option would be to see if there are any places that bend metal/frames, sometimes a body shop can be overkill with their prices!

Thanks, Alex. I just left a shop that had the bar that allowed him to bend it. Didn't charge me anything either (I have done some work with them before). I am calling this fixed.

Glad to hear it! The sound of metal on metal makes me get goosebumps to say the least

Me either!
I only drove it today because I had to. At lunch went to my guy's shop. I almost considered getting in and out of the truck on the passenger side.
