This is a good point. When I installed my new exhaust, I had to reset the computer to realize the difference. May be true for the K2N too.

I'm glad you asked how its done, cause i sure dont know either. Can't wait to find out and hopefully it wil work. So far i feel like ive threw 50 bucks away with my k&N.

Haven't done it, but from what I hear, just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes or so, reconnect, and that should reset the computer. Again, haven't done it myself, just remember reading it in another topic on here somewhere.

Its worth a try. Whats the worse that can happen? Seriously... what all does it affect when you re-set the battery?

Save your money. The stock filter is made by Wix and is about the best you can buy. The same part # is used for the 3.9 v6, 4.7, 5.7, and 5.9 v8's. I have a K&N for sale if anyone wants it. I think my 4.7 run's better with a clean stock filter. Put a K&N in with a new oil change and watch how fast the oil turns black. Thats because they don't filter as well as a paper filter!
