I don't have a engine light. the truck when shifting or down at idle with seach for idle (bounce between 500-1200 rpm) sometimes clears out when accelerate or have to turn off and restart to clear. happening alot in last 2 days.
03 ram 5.7 with 118000.

 

I would start be cleaning the throttlebody. If it has enough buildup, the blade can be sticking in it.

 

I recently had the same problem. It was very intermittent. I cleaned the throttle body, replaced the IAC, full tune up and it still did the same thing. Finally I replaced the throttle position sensor and problem solved. Idles perfectly now. $34 at AutoZone. I never had any codes.
