i have an aftermarket 2cm shorter radiator on my 2006 hemi so
Which rad cap is better 16 LBS or 18 LBS and what is the difference between the two ?

Just use the one that it calls for. 16 should be fine. It just takes 2lbs more before opening the 18 over the 16. An 18lb will find a weak spot in the cooling system before a 16 will.

what is the best way to get the air pocket out from the radiator ?

I just run them without a cap until it quits burping air.
