problems drivin down the road
I had Bilstein shocks on my Silverado before I bought my Dodge. I bought my Ram 1500 with 21k miles on it. At 35k I replaced the shocks as I never liked the floatie feel or bounce the stock shocks allowed.
IMO, 80k and your stockers are well due for the dumpster.

I have the same problem, several times i almost lost control when hitting a nasty bump on the highway at 60mph on a turn.
Even at low speed, if i hit bumps when turning its really bad. I have 180k miles and probably the factory shocks (just got the truck recently) so i am betting my problem is the shocks, and maybe yours is too as you guessed.
I have considered adding some weight to the back though because it seems like the main issue is just that its so light back there when it hits bumps on the rear on turns it just jumps in the air (but i am guessing bad shocks amplify this)

I went with Monroe Reflex shocks too. I'm happy with them with 8k miles on em'. I also have Sulastic shackles out back.
A solid rear axle will never take crossed up"speed bump" type bumps while in a turn without hopping some, but you can minimize the hop and recovery quite well with good shocks. The 09' Ram improved on this with coil springs.
