Wow, I can't believe how mellow this thread is. I totally agree with you GeeWillikers. I guess I'm not as eloquent as you. I tried to express the same viewpoint in "What is your age?????" and it seems as if the thread was going to turn into another "Almost a cobra." Whether I was pissing people off or not I made an attempt to say my peace to prevent a war. I hope I don't get crucified for it. For me it's all about function first and style later.

Hey Osteodoc08 where can you get the hood scoop in the painted version? I have an 04 with the 4.7 in it. It will never be fast so the ram air doesn't matter to me but they look so much better with the scoop.

If you just you want a scoop check out ebay.If you lucky you can find a hood.I got mine from a guy on www.dodgetruckworld.com it's a great site not as much bitchin as on here check it out.

Personally, I think having a non-functionaly hoodscoop is stupid. Sure, it may look nice... From afar. But when I was buying my truck, I opted NOT to get the HEMI SPORT package, because when you think about it, the non-functional hoodscoop is stupid for the simple reason that non-functional in my book means the same thing as "fake."

It doesn't make any sense to do any performance mods on my 4.7 2004 1500. The little HP I would get with bolt on parts including a functional hood wouldn't do anything for me. The scoop gives the hood a better look thats all.
