RE: Mods for 5.7 Hemi
Speed (power) costs money; how fast do you want to go?
I've done turbos and various superchargers (Vortech, Paxton, & Kenne Bell); on the street I think the Kenne Bell is definitely the way to go. Just my $.02 having comparative experience.
However, fueling and tuning options available for any given system will make or break any blown application. If the tune is not well researched from the blower supplier, one can spend about as much on dyno time as the setup cost and still not always get things right. Unless going with a well established tuner's product, I'd want to drive (or at least ride in) any blown application in my engined vehicle before buying, especially if in kit form.
All the best.

Yes, I installed the turbo myself! took a couple of really hot days to do it on the driveway, but i was so f'n happy when i first started it up!. Special thanks to kenihemi for the system.
I haven't been to the track yet, and my aps 2500 converter just came in.
I'm still learning how to drive the truck in high boost. inbetween shifts, the throttle plate closes momentarily locking pressure in the intake which floods the engine if you're not careful. Thankfully, kenihemi and his band of merry men have devised a solution to this problem with a diode mod for the map sensor, which i'll be receiving shortly.
I was also thinking of installing a relief valve on the intake manifold to help reduce pressure buildup under these conditions.

I've got the STS system with an APS converter. There are random folks out there selling the base kit for about $4200 or so. I also put on an smt6 piggyback system to control the fuel and to handle that map sensor stuff. Ktmrider came up with that adjustable map sensor mod that you can dial in to whatever altitude you're at and it works good. I believe Kenihemi is running that one too. But I just let the smt6 handle my map stuff. I have a 4x4 QC with 92lb motto 20x10 wheels. Here is video of my big ole heavy truck doing 0 to 70mph. Oh, and this is only at 6psi boost. Excuse the country music.
