Default AC / Heater controls

55056246AC 1 [HAA] With [GTS]
55056247AC 1 [HAA] Without [GTS]
55056811AC 1 [HAD]

I believe my A/C control has gone bad. I looked through the part number pdf that Weed has, but I don't know what the difference is. Can anyone shed some light ?

Wish I could help, but I just spent the last hour searching thru the part manual and service manual and online and I got nothing helpful. I did find those part #s on two different Mopar part sites... but there was no description or pictures.
From the Parts manual, I'm taking a guess here, but I think the "HAD" is for dual climate zone and the "HAA" is single zone. Just a guess tho. No clue about the "GTS"
One of the experts should chime in soon with the needed info.

My VIN build sheet lists "HAAS" for my Air conditioning. And since I have the single zone climate control I think this adds weight to my theory of the HAA part # for single zone. Still can't find what the GTS is for.

Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense, the heated mirror switch is on the same panel. OP, hopefully you can figure out which part # you need now. Unfortunately the original parts manuals are rather vague at times

Having your build sheet helps when looking up parts in the parts manual.

how much of the heater/ac controls are supposed to be lit up on a base model (no power anything) 2003 dodge ram 1500? They work fine, the ac light is orange when ac is on, but the rest is pitch dark at night. I added my new head unit so soon after getting the truck i don't remember if they used to work or not.

I figure I may have knocked off some illumination plug or some led or something when i left the dash hanging (with wires attached to the controls) when installing the head-unit.

thanks

ps. is it preferred for me to post on an existing thread that suits my topic or is this considered thread hijacking? I know on some forums you get yelled at for thread hijacking and then others you get yelled at for not making sure no existing topics existed before creating a new one. As a new member to the site (and hoping to be a good one) I figured I should ask for clarification.

thanks again
