Default 2007 2500 5.7 Hemi Transmission Issue

Hello I have a 2007 Ram 5.7 Hemi HD with 85,000. It has a longbed, 4 doors and takes a lot of gas. I got the truck in november and people have since told me a couple times they have terrible transmissions.
My transmition sometime dosen't shift all the way down to first when I slow down. It will slip a little then grab first kinda hard. I been reading for 2 days and it seem like everyone points to the GOV PRESSURE SENSOR & SOLENOID.
Dose the third generation ram still have this issue? What issue do you guys think I am having? I was reading a lot of older trucks have this issue but I didnt see to much about the newer trucks.

Sounds like youve done your HW and know more than most of us..haha
The 545rfe is a tough tranny for light duty, but not really HD.
Get a built Sheradon trans a be done with it especially if you tow or are hard on your truck. Dont know what else to tell ya bud???
How many miles you got? Have you tried a filter/fluid service?

Ya I just did the fluid and both filters. Apaently there was 2 up in the transmission. I got 85,000 miles. Thanks for the link I will check into those transmissions. I hope I dont have to buy one as of yet. Are other people having this same issue? do these look like the correct parts?

No. You should have the 454rfe trans which didn't come out until 2003. So, anyting saying 2000+ is incorrect. Unless I'm wong aboutthe 454rfe...but I dont think so.

interested to see what u find out, and if anybody else knows why the tranny does this. My 07 quadcab with 58k miles does the same thing sometimes. When i'm comin to a stop or turn and slow down to about 10-15mph, it doesn't fully downshift to first. Coming out of the turn and giving some gas i notice it's accelerating very sluggishly, give it a bit more gas and it jumps down to first and surges pretty good. Flushed the tranny about 18k miles ago so i should be good on that, probably wouldn't hurt to do it again though

Never heard of and didn't find anything on a google search for a 434rfe. There are only 454rfe(4spd w-O/D) and a 545rfe(w-O/D) You have one of those. They stopped putting the 454rfe in the 1500's in 2002 and went to the 545rfe in 2003. SOME trucks still got the 454rfe in 2003(5.9L gas guys i believe)

Well, there is a computer designately soley for the transmissions in these trucks. It wouldn't surprise me if the TCM is going a bit crazy and in need of a reflash???
Do any of you have tuners? I haven't heard anyone with tuners(newest flash) having those kind of problems and the tuner market is huge. Not that there couldn't be, but I haven't heard of any is all.

Thats it !! The same issue as suzki. If I stop all the way it shifts down. If I do the californina stop or turn corners at 15mph it bogs then down shifts hard to the correct gear.
From everything I read it looks like the older transmitissions had this issue and changing the gov sensor and soleniod fixes the problem. But with our transmittion no one mentions that and the parts look differnt. I just bought this and i aweays feel like im on the verge of a $3000 dollar new transmission job.

How do I get my hands on that tunner is it like OB11 where do I plug it in? How much dose it cost ? Is there a part number? Ill try it all I dont want to buy a new tranny.

Dose anyone have the fix for this issue?

Being that you just got the truck and drive it differently than the previous owner, I would reset the PCM and give it some time to learn your habits as well as replace the filters & fluid.

I also agree based on what I have read you should have the 545RFE trans.
