Default Tire prices

This weekend I was installing a fence in my yard and had my new ram in the back yard with a full bed of goodies. Well on the way out, I ran over something that punctured the sidewall. Needless to say I need to buy a new tire. I can either replace the crappy Michelin for $160 or buy 4 BF Goodrich AT KO's for almost $200 a pop. The last 8 years I have been riding the BFG's on my jeep but always paid around $100 for them, this $200 a tire is crazy. I almost fell out of my chair when the guy said that today. Anyone have any hook ups on some 265/70/17 BFG's for a poor ram owner???

I have looked at tirerack, discount tire direct, and one other online place. I can get them around 160 something online but then pay out my *** for shipping and then still need them mounted and balanced. At town fair tire (in town) they said 190, and Sears said 182.

That is odd, I just bought 4 BFG Long Trails (265-70/17) for $135 each. Do some more calling around your area. I am sure you can find a better price. Check you surrounding cities as well. I'd travel 50-75 miles for a good deal. $180 - $200 is way too much for 17 tires, I think.

I don't think that's too bad. Take a look at what they want for the ATs for 20" rims. They are well over $300 a piece. I also used to have those on a Jeep CJ7. Those are by far my favorite tires for trucks. The ATs are much more money than the long trails someone else said they bought. You can get the ATs in 325/60/R20. It equates to 35x12.5x20 for those of you wtih 20" rims.

Update:
I talked to my dads buddy at the shop in town and got the 265/70/17 BFG AT KO's for $525. They gave me $70 each for my Michelins with 1000k miles on them. I'm getting them put on today at 3, I'll post some pictures of my baby then.
