2008 ram 1500, leaning to the passenger's side...
Ok here is the update...
After a week at the dealer.. here we go...
Truck was put on the frame rack.. Test was 100%
Dealer then was stumped... Had to call Chrysler to get the tolerances..
These are Chrysler specifications.
difference in the FRONT can be
1.85inches- 2.63inches
The REAR....
2.83inches- 3.62inches
These spec's are for 4X2 with 17" Wheels Reg. cab, 8ft bed
After all this.. Dealer replaced both rear leaf springs and both front coils.
Truck is dead on level now. Also I never knew how mushy the old springs were until I drove this truck home last night... So now I have a 2008 with 41,137 miles.. with a whole new suspension..

Im sorry for not responding... If you are in this situation, bring your own tape measure... I had to show the tech how to read a tape measure like 6th grade shop class
my dealer was very good with me, once they understood that i knew what i was talking about. ... TIP... Measure from the top of the rim to the bottom of the wheel-well.. the rim is a fixed point vs. the claim of unlevel ground...also 3lbs. of air pressure is not going to make up a difference between the left and right sides..Dont let them slide with the bounce test for the shocks..Its not a shock issue,, its a spring issue.. Although there is a 3/4 inch difference allowed per those chrysler specs....
I know i am new here,, but I hope I can help somebody in the same jam as I was...

Hey guys new here and I just noticed my truck is doing the same thing. 08 Ram 4x4 quad cab, Big Horn with the tow package. Has under 40k miles on it. The drivers side rear sags 1.5" lower then the passanger side. I was thinking it was the shocks but after reading this now Im leaning towards the leaf springs. My wife and I are looking at getting a toy hauler this winter, keeping that in mind should I get a more heavy duty springs (more like a 3/4 ton) to help with the load of a 30' camper? Should I replace the shocks also? I couldnt see any oil coming from the shocks nor could I see a broken/cracked leaf spring? No warrenty here so I am on my own.
Camper is anywhere from 5500 to 7300...what would be "illegal"?????
I measured last night the rear bumper to the ground (I know there are to many veriables), from the top of the rim to the wheel well and eye hole of both rear shocks= 1.5" difference from the drivers side to the passenger side. The front is level. Being I measured both the rear shocks and those are exactly 1.5" difference would it be safe to say its the driver side shock? I didnt see any oil coming from the shocks??

Shocks don't effect the ride height,, just comfort. You have a spring issue. Have to get to level ground.. measure from the top of the rim, thats a fixed measurement to the bottom of the wheel well. All four sides.
I guess the good news is 1.5 inches Chrysler will due warranty work on it.. 1.5 and below is in "Spec"... Let me know.. hope i can help... I have been seeing some of these 2008s with leaf spring issues after I really started doing research on the topic.
