Default Door locks

When I lock my doors with the remote my lights flash and the horn honks is there way to change this so the horn won't honk but the lights still flash? I know I was able to change this on my 06 grand Cherokee and I would like to change it on the truck as i think it is starting to **** people off when I lock up at 4 am thanks!

I used the 2007 Ram 1500 QC TRX4 for this instructions. If you have a different vehicle and this doesn't work send me your VIN and I will send you the proper procedure. This procedure should also be in your owners manual under things to know before starting your vehicle. Hope this helps.

The horn chirp feature will be shipped from the assembly
plants activated. If desired this feature can be disabled by
using the following procedure:
1. Perform this operation while standing outside the
vehicle.
2. Press and hold the LOCK button on a programmed
(i.e. functional) key fob.
3. Continue to hold the LOCK button, wait at least 4
seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and
hold the PANIC button. Release both buttons at the same
time.
4. To reactivate this feature, repeat the above steps.
Vehicles will be shipped from the assembly plants with
the park lamp flash feature activated. If desired, this
feature can be disabled by using the following procedure:
1. Perform this operation while standing outside the
vehicle.
2. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on a programmed
(i.e. functional) key fob.
3. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button, wait at least 4
seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and
hold the LOCK button. Release both buttons at the same
time.

My 06 3500 honks on the first lock depress, whereas my 1500 07 locked only if you 'double tapped' the lock key.. was this a difference in years or is this something that can be changed?

Is there a reference manual that you can learn all those 'stand on your head' tricks?
