Default HELP Truck will not start

My truck started and ran fine all day long. I went to take it to the store tonight and it would not start. All the lights and things would come on. When I turned the key it made a loud clicking sound, and no attempt to turn over. I know it is the starting system, since the lights and everything will turn on, even the ac. What part of the starting system might it be and how hard is it to fix it?[:@][:'(] please help........

Definitely check the battery. How old is it. Most only last 4-5 years at most unless you've got an Optima.

Well guys after tryn to jump it and nothing happened. I let it sit over night and it was completly dead in the morning not even the lights would come on. I took the battery to a local shop and had it tested, and it has a bad cell in it. I replaced it and like a champ my truck came back to life. thanks for the help

Even thought the green light on the battery was on proves nothing i guess.........
