i was wondering if there were more mods that were not real expensive but has some hp gain. so far i have magnaflow exhaust and CAI.

 

Get a bed cover. I know it will not ad Hp, Lol, but it will make your truck faster with better gas milage. Having a bed cover stops the air from hitting the tailgate door which is good for aerodynamics...

Are you sure about that? Ive heard different things about that. Ive heard that when they make a truck and put it through the wind tunnel to me teasted they make it so that it works better with it up vs. down. And you get better gas milage with it up. I dont know from experiance just curoius what makes you think that other then just cause you do it? No offence though, you could be right.

 

hrm, i would say go get a programmer but you said inexpenseive.. other then exhaust / CAI cant really think of anything else.

 

You can get a throttle body spacer. They only cost $85-100 bucks. But not so hp gain.

 

i know a lil about the programmer but i would like to know about it from someone that actually has it and if it is worth the money.

 

You're right, he's not. I've never gained a thing from the covers on the bed, or the tailgate down.

 

My Times i ran w/ my tailgate down were slower when i run with it up. I hear when it is down it catches air and it is getting pulled down which is creating drag. so if you going to race i would run with it up.

 

You didn't say if you had a Hemi or not. The bad news (actually good) is that on the Hemi at 1hp/ci the factory already did a pretty good job and you're not going to see much of any gain with inexpensive mods. Just my opinion, but what I've spent $ on is appearance and function more than performance. I'd also recommend a new exhaust for the sound, but again, nobody really has felt it gave better performance.

 

I do have a hemi and i have done about all the appearence that i want right now i have put rims, step sides, both front grill guards, DVD player flip out screen, hemi floor mats. and i have magnaflow exhaust and CAI. so i was just looking for another mod but i might go with the proggramer if someone has some actual facts about it like them useing it in there truck personally.
