Default Tip Start

Hi everyone,

So I emailed Dodge the other day asking for my build info. They responded quickly and gave me everything, thank you Dodge. So they listed a couple of things, 1. Tip Start --- what is that? and 2. 9.25 LD Axle--- What is that?

Any help would be helpful.

Thanks

James

what year is your truck?

tip start means that you don't need to hold the key in the start position for the truck to start.. basically next time you start it get in and turn the key to start but then let it go back to ignition right away.. the truck will crank and start like normal as if you were holding the key... been around for awhile on lots of cars..

9.25 inch rear gear rear differential with Limited slip differential... simple stuff.

It's a 2008, and it has 3.92 gears.

When Dodge said it had a 9.25" LD rear axle I was thinking LD meant Light Duty

well it wouldn't surprise me if they did consider the 9.25" light duty.. it's a tough rear end but in the truck world it's definitely considered "light duty" as is pretty much everything on a half ton truck

"LD" is not limited slip, it's "light duty".

I found it here on the forum. It was a link to Dodge and you just fill in the info. Sorry, I really don't remember where it was.
