Default '07 Hemi Ram....MDS possibly on during acceleration????

My Ram seems to have the MDS kicking in during light low RPM acceleration. Say if pulling away from a stop on a gravel road soon as it gets rollling you can hear it rumbling through the manifold like if it was only running on 4 cylinders. Soon as it hit around 1800-2000rpm what ever is going on stops and it takes off like a rocket and accelerates from 30mph-55mph with out giving it anymore gas. It doesnt happen either if its in tow/haul mod. Any ideas on what mite be going on? I just got the truck and its fully warrantied. If you drove it hard you'd never notice so it may have been going on with the previous owner and they never noticed. I had it in to the dealer and took them for a ride with a code reader hooked up and its not throwing any codes and both the tech and service manager said it shouldnt be doing what it is but didnt know off hand what it was. They have to do some research so I figured I'd ask here as well

Thanks
Tim

You can't feel MDS "kick in". As heavy as the Ram is, MDS will never engage during acceleration.

There is a TSB and a reflash to adjust when MDS kicks in. Don't have the TSB # off hand.

If you think the symptoms/conditions on Page 2 apply to you, ask you dealer to perform the update.

Print a copy and bring it with you in case they can't find it.

Thats sounds like it could be it. I will print it out and bring it along with me when I go. I will say though it feels more like a bog/loss of power along with the noise through the intake to me but I guess it could be interpreted differently by others.

Thanks for the help. I will post how I make out.

Thanks again
Tim

Thanks for the TSB RailroadMan. I might have to go in and have the dealership check that out. I have noticed it, and after exhaust and superchips you can hear and feel it more. maybe this will make the transition a little smoother.

It will go into MDS under light throttle, but if the demand is over around 30% of available power, it will not engage or turn off if it is on.
Try taking off in the same conditions with tow/haul turned on. This will disable the MDS and verify if it is an MDS issue or a low speed misfire.
