I am currently deployed and when my wife went to take the truck in to have the tranny serviced the truck did not start... 2 weeks prior the truck did not start as well the first time it had not been driven in about a week an half. My dad jumped it and drove it for a bit, 2 weeks later(today) the truck again did not start again jumped it and the truck started but would not go above idle(even with pedal to the floor). He shut the truck off and turned it back on, and he said the rpms will only go up to 4,000 and he thinks that the computer went into a limp mode. He also told me the check engine light came on. I was home in July and had zero problems with the truck my wife had zero problems with the truck before she dropped it off about a month ago. Any suggestions to what is wrong?
