04 ram 1500 overheating issues
On a clutch fan, the temperature sensing is done solely by the thermostatic spring (the coil you see on the clutch fan itself). If you replaced the fan, you replaced the thermostatic spring with a new one as well.
I'm still leaning toward the radiator itself...
Of course you could see if it's the spring by disconnecting it which basically has the fan free spinning at belt (engine rpm) speed all the time. If it still overheats, it ain't the thermostatic spring...

the rad eh, the clutch had a new coil on there, it just doesnt seem to engage at all it spins but when idleing and the heat is at operating temp the fan doesn seem to kick in to keep the rad cool.
your thinking the rad still, shall i flush it again? or are you thinking it needs a new one? just hope its not the head gasket or something like that.
i also wondered if the gauge is just not reading right but i dont know what would cause this,
i need to get this figured out
