Anyone have a used truck cap for sale for a Quad Cab short bed? See my signature... Green truck.. It doesn't have to be green, but it'd be nice. A good source for an inexpensive new one works too.

Before I get flamed for caps being for OLD men (I am old -37). Was hoping someone could steer me to an inexpensive source.

Anyone ever try to paint one to match?

whoa, caps arent just for old dudes. i had one on my last truck, which was an old man truck, white ford ranger. and i want to eventually get one for my ram. and im only 23. their functionality suits me perfectly.

anyways, i dont know where to get a cheap one. the one i want (Leer 100XQ) runs close to $2000. but i think it looks really nice on our rams.

Hey I'm 21, and I have a cap for my truck. Of course, it's not on all the time, but whenever it is, I do feel like an old man. My back even hurts, although maybe that's from putting the heavy thing on myself.

a guy at work just got a price of 2200 from Suburban Caps, in (i think) ramsey, NJ on rt 17... thats painted to match, with ladder rack, opening side windows, with compartments... oh and he's 25!

Was kind of hoping for right around $1000, but if it is really nice one will go for more.. But thanks White.. gives me an idea of what I am looking at.

Yeah, cap isn't my first choice, but really is something I could use.

No one has tried painting one themselves I take it?

I have a Long bed Cap that came on my truck when I bought it that I would love to sell. I watched e-bay for a while then decided not to try to sell it on there when I seen them going for 300-500 dollars. I was thinking more like 750 for mine but that is another story. Good Luck finding one and the painting it your self something that big and eye catching really needs a good paint job.

Try Craig's List, I got some stuff I'm selling on there right now, and I'm getting asking price for them, no joke, its not car stuff but I have heard its a lot better than Ebay now a days, people are willing to pay asking if they dont have to pay all the dang fees and BS that Ebay has now a days. I've actually thought about if I sell my colbalt (which has been on my mind before but decided to keep only cause of the accident killing my worth at the stealership) on there I would get what I want for it, what I want to sell if for, in the condition that it's in, I know I could get asking cause the dealerships are asking 4k more!!

Hope this helps in the quest to sell that long bed cap

killam truck mart in east windsor ct, has some nice used ones. i know it is quite a drive, but if you give him a call, he may know dealers in your area that sell them, or may even send one out they start at 350.00 and go up from there. i bought my new tonneau cover from them painted to match for under $1200, with a free bed rug
