Default Fresh Paint - How long to wait

Hopefully someone can give me some guidance here.

Mother nature decided I needed a new paint job (I couldn't have agreed more). I picked up some rocker panel while the truck was in the shop, and I'm wondering how long I should wait before applying the 3M adhesive panels from when the paint was applied...

Thanks!

Yeah, I gotta concur with 'dog. I dunno about sticking 3M tape, but the rule of thumb was always 30 days till you could wax it, so I'd say the same for sticking things to it...

Well, that's about enough backing for the 30 day rule... Problem is.. the damned weather is changing up here and its down at the freezing mark tonight.

Well, worst case scenario, I can fire up the furnace in the garage in the winter to get the panels warmed up..

Cheers!
