Made myself feel like a total idiot tonight. After a long day of landscaping, it was getting dark and I backed the truck in to the driveway. I total forgot about the tandem axle flat deck I had parked there and backed right in to it. Luckily it dented the rear bumper up and not the tail gate.

I have a 2005 SLT 4x4 1500. Can someone tell me what years and models of bumpers will fit? Not sure if 2500 or 3500 rears will fit or not. I found a 2011 rear for $150, but I have my doubts it would work. The 2011 I found doesnt have the cut outs for the exhaust either.

 

I know 02-08 1500 will fit in the back, and I'm 95% sure the 2500/3500's come with different brackets...

 

Have them measure the distance between the frame rails, if that matches it should be workable

 

don't feel too bad about the mishap, have backed into numerous stuff in my truck trying to back into the garage, luckily haven't done any damage yet though lol

 

I wasn't aware that 02-05 would fit the 06-08 because even the towhooks have different part numbers??
I do know for a fact that the bumpers of the newer 09+ style will not fit the older years(02-08). The rear end framework was completely re-designed to accomodate for the coil link suspension.

 

hmm, I may stand corrected, most of the OEM style replacement bumpers on the net list 04-08 as compatible... this site http://jimsautoparts.com/mopar_performance_dodge_truck_magnum_body_parts_&_ exterior.htm# shows a break down, looks like different brackets on the 02-03 (and 2500/3500) as well?
