Lamp out. Can I use high beam wire.
I got lamp out issue again. Not the bulb, I changed the socket (per buddies recommendation and that didn't help.)
Can I splice the high beam wire to the head light wire temporarily till I have dealer look at it? I can live without high beams for now. Or is the voltage higher and would blow the filament?

The socket which has 3 wires (low beam, high beam and ground). I replaced it. That was a mistake though. My brother came over and tested the wires. He said the wires and socket were fine. It's the FCM.
I get no power to right side low beam. I was wondering if there was a temporary mickey mouse fix till I get a new FCM? Splicing to the other low beam wire didn't work. The FCM senses to drop in voltage and turns both off.
Gotcha on the socket. I kinda thought that's what you meant but also thought you might had been talking about the rear tail lights circuit board as those sockets do have issues on the 03s and 04s to give the lamp out.
Normally, and for those that trucks you see going down the road with one side of the headlights working and the other side not as working, after replacing the bulbs which is obviously the first thing they do, the FCM usually is found to be the fault due to corrosion or broken solder joints

Got stopped last night for headlamp being out. Got home and removed the FCM. Sprayed the pins with electrical parts cleaner and sprayed into the contacts in the fuse box that the pins go into. That did the trick for now lamp came back on. At least I now know it's not the FCM but definitely fuse box corrosion issues.
