p/s leak again
Hey
i have a 2004 ram 1500 5.7l HEMI, about a month ago i had both the rack and pump changed, 3 weeks later the pump blew so i replaced this along with the ps pully too. everything was and still is running good however this morinign i noticed a small puddle under the truck i got under and again there is fluid from the rack. its under the drivers side there is like a cylinder i guess where all the hoses are and also a little more under the car i can see fluid around a seal. i have it booked it to get it looked at tomorrow at the shop but anyone got any ideas? i hope i dont have to have the rack replaced again i dont have the money. i love the truck but with all the issues i have had since buying it i am beginning to regret it.
thanks

My dad had a reman rack put in his truck, it lasted 10 months.
Started with a dead spot in the steering, took it in and long story short it needed a new rack.
Shop put in another reman rack, when the tech took it out for the test drive, it blew up on him.
Shop put a brand new rack in the truck and it has been fine.
My dad lost his truck for a week (parts issues with the dealership and the local shop), but hey, he didn't have to pay the $660 ticket.

i was just out looking under the truck it might almost be like the rack hose is leaking and then its all running down onto the parts below, i am going to clen it up nd look again and hopefully thats all it is
so the shop says its the steering rack again. should have stuck with the toyota oh well. maybe time to sell already if this is going to keep happening, cnt afford this as a reoccuring problem. thanks for everyones help
