Default Help with the Stock Radio - 2004

Hey, I am really hoping someone can help me out. We just got our first Dodge Ram 1500, love the truck. We've been having an issue with the radio though, first we thought the radio was just dead, wouldn't turn on, no display or anything, so we got a new stock radio for it. Installed that and it is still doing the same thing, wont turn on or anything, the only thing it does do is show the time for about 15seconds if you press the eject CD button. we've checked fuses and made sure the connection on the back of the radio is tight. anyone have any ideas on what it could be? I've googled the heck out of it and haven't found a thing. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that today. Everything else does work on the truck, so this has been an annoying and frustrating problem. I'm glad some one else has some ideas, because I was at a loss.
