heating problem 02 ram

Default heating problem 02 ram

ok here is the problem got in the truck and turned on the heat turned it to defrost and it only stays on the vents it worked a couple of days ago is the the d**n blend door problem or could it be a bad controller thx

Usually (and I'm not a dodge tech) this is the actuator motor has stripped it's drive gear. It usually just requires replacing the motor. BUT... I suggest working the door manually several times to find out why it has gotten stiff, because that's why it stripped the drive gear. Locate the motor, turn key on turn slowly back and forth from heat to cool, you should hear it click or even see it jump. Take motor out and replace and fix the door. Hope that helps.

fixed this it was the controls the board had a broken wire
