Default Insturment Panel/ Cluster Digits Disappear

Ive got a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and the digits in the cluster occasionally disappear. This happened to anyone before. What do you think the issue is?

I'm thinking you've got a broken circuit board or failed component powering the LED components in that area... likely not repairable, rip/replace the instrument panel.

You can do an instrument cluster test, but I'm thinking if your problem is intermittent the test might work fine.
With the truck off, hold in the trip odometer button, then turn the key to the 'on' position (not to start), then all the gauges will sweep thru several test points and all the lights will illuminate. After that it will list out Diagnostic Trouble Codes, these are different than the check engine codes.
