Bad alternator
i have a 2008 ram QCSB 5.7Hemi 4x4 and with 28900 miles and the darn alternator blew.... did a test on it and it said it had an open diode. i fixed it and all is well but is there a known problem with these alternators??? the oem one was a bosch also

Not that I've read. Mine is fine at 114K and over eight years. I did have an F-150 that went through alternators like candy. Got so I could change it in about 20 min.
