Default New to DF 02 ram hvac issues

Hey guys new here to DF and yet to introduce myself. Thanks for all yall do to help everyone.

I have owned 61 vehicles, the majority of which have been mopar products. (my family owned a dodge dealership here in ms for 20 years) but I have never had a 3rd gen truck. I bought it about a year ago, 02 qc 1500 5.9 4x4, and it had just had a blend door installed. I didnt notice though until the heat index was 113 for a week that the fan, while sounding like a roaring dinosaur under the glovebox, doesnt blow very hard out of the vents. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Sounds like the blend door installation may have gone awry.

If it's not a botched blend door install, it might be the re-circ door. That one is kinda behind the glove box and I think that if it actually falls out it sits on top of the blower and restricts most of the air flow. Check out www.heatertreater.net for some really good info and videos.

Yeah I recently found that website (the correct one) from posts on here and was very impressed with the info they had. It's been mentioned before on here but I always ended up at the .com site which has nothing to do with trucks lol.

it's most likely the recirc door falling onto the blower intake. i had to replace mine last year
