Question Purple wire?

I have a 05 dodge ram 1500 model st and has no power door locks. I am installing a keyless alarm system and i have noticed that there is a purple wire running to the door lock inside the panel so does this mean I have Actuators already installed in the truck or not?

Take the door panel off and look at the locking mechanism, you should be able to physically see if there is an actuator in there or not. If there was power going to an actuator then there should be a hot and a ground, not just one wire.

Question ?

Thanks, I did have the panel off and there is a purple and a purple/blk wire running into the locking mechanism. A audio store told me he thinks its probaly the door light pin wire and it is done that way instead of a pin.

That is the dome light, door ajar switch. It's built into the latch.
