New at this. Have question. Why doed it seem my 1500 5.7 is running in to high of gear at low speeds. 30 to 40 mph when I touch the gas it sort of down shifts. It does no do this in tow haul. when it does this it sounds very low and grumbles. Feels like it has no power until it down shifts.

 

If it is a 2006-2008, it is just the MDS kicking off when you push on the gas. It only drops to 4 cylinders under light load.

 

Thank. That's what I thought. was not sure......I went from a 2000 Dakota to the 1500. It may take awhile to adjust. Love the truck. been a dodge man all my driving life..........
