Default Another towing question. Tow/Haul Mode

If you were going to be towing on a flat highway for about 1000 miles would you leave the tow/haul mode on or off? I would keep tow/haul mode on in traffic or when getting up to speed or slowing down to exit highway. But when your at cruising speed, and the roadway is all flat would you shut it off?

2007 1500 QC 4x4 Hemi 3:92 gears 20" rims. Towing a 28' trailer about 6500lbs

The engineers at Dodge probably thought of all that. Tow/Haul doesn't necessarily mean your truck won't go into overdrive. When your towing, especially 6500 lbs with a 1500, I would always leave it in Tow/Haul.

It does indeed lock out the final OD but with a travel trailer I still leave it in tow/haul even on flat terrain.

That trailer is a lot of wind resistance too, not just weight, so I'd leave it on.

Leave it on. You will burn up 5th gear eventually towing this way.
There is not a big rpm drop between 4th and 5th anyway. It also turns off the MDS system and changes the torque converter lock-up schedule.
