Default SRT-10 22" wheels

Quick question, too many results came up in search, coudlnt find what I needed.

I have a 05 1500 Quad Cab, came with 20" chrome wheels.

Looking to purchase a set of 22" SRT-10 Wheels and tires, which are take-offs.

Just wanted to confirm the lug pattern is the same, and I won't have any issues by removing the 20 wheel/tires and adding the 22 wheel/tires.

Thanks hopefully in advance.

You'll have issues, the only question is whether they are positives or negatives to you.

Bigger wheels & tires = slower truck. Overcoming inertia (you're effectively changing your gearing - albeit only slightly) and bringing it all to a halt will be more of a challenge for the supporting hardware - i.e. your engine and brakes.

Added weight at each corner will have an effect on your handling as well - heavier isn't better. Wider may give you some extra grip, but without the suspension work to go with the width, the extra weight per corner may make that benefit a wash.

How much do your stock 20s weigh, and how much do the 22s weigh? Are they staggered or all the same width? Are the new wheels cast or forged?

Depending on the OD of the new wheels over your stock 20s, you'll have to correct your speedo error as well - if you care.

I also heard somewhere that the SRT-10 rims, will only fit 4x4 trucks, but that might be bull****, so dont quote me.

Does anybody know the weight difference between the 20" SLT rims and the 20" SST rims?
