Default Infinity bypass tweeter problems

So over a year ago i installed a new pioneer HU. When i bought the bypass harness they gave me the wrong one and i had no idea so i got fed up with the harness not working correctly so i brought it to the local audio shop they told me they could bypass the amp without the harness for free, i had them do it and he said my tweeters wont work though. Now Im sick of having no tweeters so i want to put aftermarkets in but im not sure how to go about doing this because im not sure if the wires to the stock tweeters are connected to anything. I know kind of complicated but any advice would help

Thanks

Since the amp is bypassed,(that's where the crossover is), you can splice into the front door speaker wires and run them to the dash. That's how I did it on mine since I didn't have any dash speakers from the factory. I installed 3.5" Infinity Reference speakers in the dash with the supplied resistor to keep the bass from blowing them up.

I hope it was a capacitor to block the bass

Typical "plug & play" bass blocker is a 99 microfard capacitor inline with the + speaker lead.

A good set of speakers like the Infinity Reference 3.5's that I mentioned, come with what you need. You can use the wires that come with the speakers to tie into the front door speakers. Mine sound pretty good. I got them at BestBuy.

I'm surprised the Infinity's didn't already have bass blockers installed? Even if they weren't noticeable, they could have been mounted inside the casing out of sight???
I guess it's best to be certain and add them anyways.
