truck sometimes won't start. computer reboot?
I have been having a slight annoyance very seldom. It hapened 2 days in a row now so I am wondering if anyone has had the same issues. Truck is an 07 QC 4X4 4.7 1500.
I go to start it up and nothing. All lights go on on the dash. I can work my power windows, headlights, radio, etc... No signs of a dead battery. The truck does absolutly nothing when turning the key. No clicks, grunts, hisses, growls, vrooms. Nothing. Kind of like a battery is not even connected but the dash lights go on and so does everything else that happens to be on at the time, such as the heater fan. Just pure silence when I turn the key to start the truck. Then all I have to do is disconnect the negative terminal and reconnect it and the truck starts right up. kind of like a computer reboot or something along those lines.
Has anybody had any similar issues? I don't want to take it to the shop because it has happened so seldom. Just 2 days in a row makes me wonder. It cant be a cold temperature problem because it happened once last summer as well. This truck seems to have issues. At the whopping 39,000 miles. Breaking shimmy, heater fan resisister(?), blinker switch with a mind of it's own, and occasionally not wanting to start.
