I have a chrome 2010 dual exhaust bumper that I was thinking about modding and putting on my 2006 Ram. It is chrome with some very minor damage but its no problem it can be patched up easily. I know what I have to do in order to paint a chrome bumper, the cuts I would have to make and the mods to the brackets (everything came with the bumper from the 2010). I work at a very large collision shop with some talented people, I am just not sure if I should start ruining this bumper and then give up on it or something. What do you guys think?

I know it can be done even though I havent seen it yet. A lot of the shape and cuts are very similar to mine on the 06. The only big differences is the length of the sides but I think the width of the bumper is close. I have to actually take mine off to investigate further though, these are all thoughts by the eyes! I think it would be pretty bada$$, but on the other hand I could sell it and buy some other stuff I'd like to get.

you mention painting the rear..just my opinion but painted rear and chrome in the front I hate to say it.I would scrap it .But if your painting out the chrome to get the sport look mount it a see.

 

Not sure about the grille but the front bumper would be replaced. But, I decided to sell the bumper. Its listed on classifieds right now. Thanks for the reply though and yea I agree which your opinion!
