First time wiring lights
The reason fuses are placed as close to the battery as possible is because the more wire you have between the power source and the fuse is more wire to get hot, melt down and possible cause a fire.
In a lighting application, it's not as critical as higher power applications, but the possibility still exists, if even remote.
Place the fuse at the closest place you have reasonable access to do so...

How does this look?

I have multiple switches to run so I think the blocks are the way to go. I do not need them all now but I will probably find something to put on them in the future. The one off the cig lighter will give me a place to draw from and a place for the ground on all the switches.

Thanks, I do have two sets of hellas, back up lights, compressor for my bags and leave a few open for the future. Knowing this what gauge should I run to the distibution block?
