Remote Start
I got a Code Alarm CA-420 remote start from someone who never used it and am looking through the installation to see what I need.
I can't find any 'how to' docs regarding this and while I"m well versed in electronics / wiring, I've not done a remote start in the past. The manual for my device can be found here: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=542
Questions:
1. The remote start has a 'Starter Output' wire but based on information from The12Volt.com, the 'Starter' wire isn't used for remote start. Should I connect it or not?
2. Pending the answer above, do I use the 'Starter Output' wire to trigger a relay which would connect the 'Second Starter' wire to the - terminal of the battery (I assume this is what 'Negative Trigger' means)?
3. The last thing would be regarding how I need to hook up the ignition lock bypass.
I've googled my brains out looking for a how to or detailed instructions. All help is appreciated!
