Hello new to site and need some help. 2004 1500 after offering my cv shaft and getting it out discovered my driver side output shaft was stripped out. After researching for several hours can't find anything about this. Does anyone have a part number or even proper name of this part. Maybe where to order it. Really hate not having 4 wheel drive when i have to drive country roads with winter snow approaching.

Called a stub shaft. Theyre not really expensive at the dealer. Did both of mine for the same reason a couple months ago on my 02

A friend i went to school with is parts person at my locel dodge dealer. She hooked me up. Driver side shaft is 57 dollars. The passenger side isnaround 120. I figured from dodge they wouldnbe outrageous. So not the case.
