Im gonna buy some larger tires, before i sell this thing to help the sale go quicker. What is the largest tire i can put on the chrome 17 inch stockers with the stock height? Im going to level it out by turning the torsions... but after that im gonna stick some tires on it. Help me out... thanks!

 

Why spend huge bucks on new bigger tires when you're just gonna sell it? Doesn't make sense to me. If tire replacement is necessary just stick with the stock size.

 

I dont like the stock size, and the wife is grumbling about me getting rid of it. I really should lease vehicles, because i want to change every other year or so. Especially now that i have my motorcycle...

 

If it has the stock 245/75/17 tires, I will agree that it looks a little small. The upgrade to th 265/70/17 look better. But why spend money on bigger tires when you're just going to sell it and not recoupe the extra money spent over the stock size. Just trying to help you out, that's all. Not saying that you are wrong by doing it.

 

To answer your question. 305/70/17 is the largest that you can fit. I like the look a LOT better

 

Yes, I like the look too. But I think that everyone is missing my point. Oh well. You live and learn.

 

If you really must, then find some used tires to put on it. Used tires are a dime a dozen and every shop is willing to let them go. Especially local shops. I agree with the majority though. It's not worth the money. Whoever is gonna buy the truck is just going to do their own mods anyway tires or not.
