Ive got the same exact truck except an 03. I cannot do one either. I know its got the power because ive spun out at some really steep boats ramps trying to get a heavy boat up. It may be the brakes are too powerful.

Hole Shot no. But I can do a doughnut on dry pavement with no problem.
3:55 gear 285-17.Brake toque into a burn out with no problem.

Not spinning is a GOOD thing. I know you guys think its cool but sticking to the ground means good traction.

However, to answer your post, its normal not to spin but even though you said they are 265 tires, you didnt mention if they are 17s or 20s. I will assume 20s and keep in mind a bigger heavier rim/tire combo takes more power through the engine and trans to break loose

never understood why ppl peel wheel in a truck. I mean I dont have the money for 200.00 a piece tires to just burn em off. IMO

sounds like you may need a little more torque

Mine will light 'em up if I ask it to. It even wiggles a bit while they're spinnin'.
