2wd leveling kit for ram
Does anyone here have a 2wd dodge ram that has leveled it out (lifting the front, not lowering the back). If so, how did you go about doing it. I am a little skeptical about spacers and have heard that spindles are the way to go. If anyone knows anything about front lift spindles, how high should I get them to replace the stock -- 3" or 4". Are they reliable? Thanks

See that thread....
I was skeptical at first too, but have had no problems whatsoever.
If you go the spindle route, let us know how it works out for ya.

Also, if you go to a longer spindle, and don't drop the lower A-Arm mounting point, aren't you going to change the arc at which the tire follows during the suspension cycling? Then you'd need a longer spring too...
Or do the new spindles have the a arm mouint higher up on them (hub lower) than they do on the stock arm? I gues they have too otherwise I don't see how they would acheive lift....

RE: 2wd leveling kit for ram
I am not much of an mechanic guy, but I have made many calls to offroad unlimited, suspenion maxx, etc... and they all seem to say the same thing, go with the spindles. The spindles install without changing any factory settings. How would a spindle wear a upper balljoint (keeping in mind I am not too sure what I am talking about) thanks

I'm no mechanic either....
I went and looked around at some pics of lift spindles..... I see how they work now.
Looks like the new spindles are the same length (so nevermind aboiut the balljoint wear) they just drop the mounting point for the hub assembly.
Makes much, much more sense to me now
Yeah, all things considered.... if they are as strong as stock(or stronger) then I agree that would be the way to go.... little more $$$ than spacers but....

Changed my posts up top after I did a little more research
As for the shocks and all, everything I have read says you don't need (and shouldn't use) new shocks, unless you drop the a-arm mounts. Otherwise you bottom out the upper a arm on the spring tower. So if you want that 4" kit, just get a 1" block and roll with it. You can find those pretty cheap....

By all means, please keep me posted and throw out some pics. I wouldn't mind having an extra 1" all around
